ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGERS

All electric cars need to be charged by plugging in. You can recharge using a standard wall socket or an EV charging station. The time it takes to fully charge is based on the level, or speed, of charging and how full the battery is.

Electric Vehicles are becoming more popular these days.  The EV market is growing as the demand to reduce our carbon footprint continues.  Electric vehicles save you money on fuel costs , low maintenance and have tax incentives.  Access to a charging station is a huge feature for the growing number of people who are switching over to an electric vehicle.

More and more car charging stations are being installed in the public, local businesses, multi unit complex's and residential homes.  If you have invested in an electric vehicle, it’s important to have a reliable electric car charger ready. Therefore, you can get around whenever you need to. Most of your charging needs are taken care of by having the ability to charge your car at home.

There are 3 different levels of charging:

Level 1: 120V (1 hour of charge ~ 8 km of range) This is the slowest type of charging

Level 2: 240V (1 hour of charge ~ 30 km of range) The most common level of charging. Almost all EV drivers install a Level 2 charging station at home and most businesses and multi family buildings

Level 3: 480V (1 hour of charge ~ 250 km of range) Also known as DC Fast Charging, which connects directly to the car’s battery, allowing the off-board equipment to have any power needed. DC charging is capable of charging up to 80% of the electric vehicle’s battery in less than 20 minutes.
